Nest Pro Extension Power Cable

I need to extend the power cable for my Nest Pro WiFi. It seems that the cable is extendable but cannot seem to find a product. Extending the AC end is not possible.

Why can't you use a mains power extension lead?

Unsightly in the position I want to place it. Wanting to hide wiring.
