Hello,
in my housed I have an issue with one of my Google Nest WiFi points. Despite doing a hardware reset, the WiFi point only has weak connection even when placed next to the router. If I place this Point in a location where another Point has a great connection, Google Home shows the point as being off-line. The Point has only been used for 2 weeks and its connection has been deteriorating over the last week. Suggestions please on how resolve the poor connection with this WiFi point. In my home I am running 2 Nest routers (interconnected by ethernet cable) and 3 WiFi points

I assume that when you say that you have "2 Nest routers (interconnected by ethernet cable" that you mean the first one is the actual router and the second one is being used a hardwired AP (please correct me if I'm wrong).
These articles should help with troubleshooting the connected points and verify that he setup you have is compatible:
Hardwire Wifi devices with Ethernet
Fix your Google Nest Wifi or Google Wifi network
Let me know if thius solves the issue or if you are still having problems.

Hi, thanks for your response. Yes you are correct that the second router is being used as a hardwired point. I have reviewed the 2 articles you suggested and had already performed the steps suggested. What I can’t understand is why the problem point has weak connection even when place next to the router and why other points have great connection whereas the problem point has no connection Timon in the same location.
thanks

Thanks for the update. Just to confirm, have you performed a full factory reset via the reset button on the point having the issues?

Hi
despite doing numerous factory resets the connection between the router and problem point oscillates between good and weak with the point being very close to the router. I believe I have a defective point. Any other suggestions including how I contact google for a warranty claim given the customer support line in Australia is not staffed.
