Nest Wifi Pro

I upgraded my Nest Wifi to Nest Wifi Pro today.  I'm on a 900Mbps down and 100Mbps up FTTP connection with BT in the UK.  I have to use the PPPoE username and password to authenticate.

Wireless Connection on a Google Pixel 7 which is next to the primary router point is 30Mbps up and down at best!

Wired connected over a Gigabit LAN is also 30Mbps at best!

This is a fraction of the speeds I was getting with my Nest Wifi (non "pro") not to mention what's being provded to the premises.  What is going on??  I know there are plenty of others having the same issue and have been since it was released many weeks ago.  What is google going to do about it if anything?  How about some transparency?

I saw that but I feel like it's so broken that the issues are more fundamental and can't be fixed by software patches.  I've gone back to my Free BT router that my ISP gave to me to see what that would be like.  To my surprise, it's actually got much better coverage, even as a stand alone unit than these Three Nest wifi Pro units had combined!

With my free BT router I'm getting full speed or above on LAN connections and 40%-50% of full speed on Wifi 5.  That's way better than Nest Wifi Pro and even better than what I was getting on Nest Wifi.

Hi Aria,

Do you still have your Nest WiFi Pro setup, or did you return it to the store? There's a new firmware release rolling out now with improvements and I wanted to check in and see if you had a chance to test things after the update hits. If you've already returned the product, I understand, but if you still have it, I'll be happy to look into it more with you.

Thanks,

Jeff

Update seems to have resolved my issues. Disappointed that I had to wait a week and couldn't just manually push the update through myself. Google shouldn't treat everyone like cattle.

Hey there,

Awesome — glad to hear that your issue is fixed and I'm sorry it took a while― we'll take this as feedback.

It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.

Best,
Mel
