I tried am power cycle on the Router and Modem, Ive Factory Reset the router...I feel like Ive tried everything and keep ending up at the same issue. When I get to the "Connect Ethernet Cable" part, I reconnect the cable, press continue and the connection always fails. Please help!!

Hi @SPDahlberg

Have you get local network access turned on in iOS settings for the Google Home app?

iOS settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network, toggle it on for Google Home.

You may need to force close the app and re-open it again for the change to take effect.

I toggled that setting. Google Home was not running. I started Google Home and went through the setup steps again and got the same error once I got to the Ethernet Cable section. "Connection Failed".

Alright, you may already have tried some of these steps but I'll link to them in full:

UPDATE: I got it working. Here is what I did...

I plugged the "outside" Ethernet cable into the "WAN" input (Globe Icon) on the Google Nest Router. And the other Ethernet cable I plugged in from the other in/ouput (arrows) on the Google Nest to the WAN input on my Modem. This worked very well. I did not connect the ehternet cable from the WAN on Google to the LAN on my Modem because this was NOT working. Hope this helps, being I did the opposite from what the app was telling me!
