Nest Wifi point connection problems

I have set up my google nest wifi system with two of the three wifi points that it came with. when I try to set up the third one however, the bottom ring doesn't light up at all and the only thing that does light up is the two lights that show how to adjst volume on the top of the pod. I have tried basically everything and It won't reset even when I unplug it or press and hold the reset button. Any tips?

Hi, John_C-12345.

Sorry for the setup issues you're having with your WiFi point. I imagine that's been quite confusing and frustrating. Let's take a look at this and see if we can sort this out for you. I do have a few questions to help us narrow things down.

  • Is this the first time you have set this network up?
  • Is the WiFi point you're adding brand new, or is it a secondhand purchase?
  • Have you tried factory resetting the device itself (even if it's new)?

If you can give me a few more details, I'm sure we can sort this out. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks.
