Nest router as ap serving ethernet house

I have full ethernet connectivity build in my house with ethernet ports in each room (house 1) but I want to use the internet connection from next house (house 2). I have a nest router connected to isp in house 2 and one access point but it is not enough to have full coverage. If I buy a second router, could I use the second router in access point mode and use the ethernet port to spread connectivity through the house 1 connecting the output of the router to anyport in the house 1 ?

Hello @mariiaa

We are so happy to see you here! Don't worry, I'm here to help you to answer your questions about your Nest WiFi.

Yes, you can absolutely use a second Nest WiFi in access point mode to extend your network into House 1. This is a common and effective way to expand WiFi coverage.

You need to configure the second router:

  • Open the Google Home app.
  • Tap Devices Add a Google Nest or partner device.
  • If prompted, choose a home.
  • Select the device you would like to set up as a point >Next.
  • Scan the QR code on the bottom of your device.
  • Your point will now connect.
  • Follow the in-app instructions to finish setup.
  • If you'd like to add another point, tap Yes in the app when prompted, or repeat these steps at a later time for additional points.
  • Once you've added all of your WiFi devices, the app will perform a Mesh test to confirm everything is working.

Feel free to keep us posting if you have any questions. I'm here to find a solution for you.

Best regards,

Douglas.
