Nest router + point behind another router

Hi

I have a summer house where my wifi comes from neighbor house router via Ubiquiti Loco M5 (wireless bridge).

Is it possible to set up a mesh with Router+point in my house? Or does the Nest router have to be in router mode?

A Nest Wifi router can also be used as a wireless mesh point. In fact thats what many do, including me, to get better performance on the wireless. AC2200 vs. AC1200.

Just make sure it's added as a point to an existing Google Home home network.

I don't work for Google.

Ok, that is my issue. The wireless bridge delivered by my Loco comes from another modem/router already providing the router function, so I need AP only. I was hoping I could create a mesh in my summer house to get better coverage. But then Google Nest may not be what I need?

Hey Crj100,

Since this thread hasn't had activity in a while, we're going to close it to keep content fresh.

We hope you were able to get the help you need but if you need assistance with your Nest Wifi, feel free to submit another post, and provide as many details as possible so that others can lend a hand.

Thanks,
