Nest wifi issues

Has anyone had any luck fixing the constant mesh point dropping out several times a day issue? Or do most people just a new brand? Wondering if the head ache of dealing with support is even with the time.

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Nest Community team! I understand the inconvenience you're having with your mesh network dropping the connection, and I will do my best to help you find a solution.

 

To better understand the situation, please help me by answering the following questions:

 

  • What model of Google WiFi do you have?
  • How is the LED light status on your WiFi devices?
  • Does this happen with the whole mesh network, or only with some points?
  • When the mesh points drop the connection, how does it appear on the Google Home App?
  • Is it possible to run a Test Mesh? This is to verify which points are currently not working properly.

Also, I will send some troubleshooting steps; please give them a try:

 

  • Confirm if your devices are compatible with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies.
  • Try to remove any spaces or special characters from the SSID or password, if there are any.
  • Restart your modem, router, and point(s).
