Nest wifi points stop responding to "Hey Google"

My Nest wifi points continuously so responding to Google assistant commands like "Hey Google" or "OK Google" so I keep having to unplug and plug them back in. After doing this, the command will work for a little while, but will stop responding a few hours after. Has anyone else had this issue? I have tried to factory reset the points and I have verified that the points have great wifi connection via the Google home app. This issue has become frustrating because I had planned to use the points as Google home speakers and that was a huge factor in choosing nest wifi mesh system.

Also, when this happens I see this message in the device page in Google home "Done settings are only available when your mobile device and <device name> are connected to the same WiFi network". This is strange because the Wi-Fi points provide the wifi network that I'm using. No other devices on my network have this issue. Even the best router does not have this issue. Just the points
