New setup: Nest wifi pro working, but can't get it to respond to voice commands

I am replacing my old Google Nest mesh system and upgrading to Nest Wifi Pro. I used my Google Home app to set it up, and the wifi is working. But I can't get the system to respond now to my voice commands, and when I try to set up voice assistant, it says I need to add a new device - but the four wifi points are already installed so there are no new ones to add.

I've done two factory resets, I've scoured the internet, I've called the vendor. But nothing has worked so far. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I assume my phone needs to be on the same wifi network created by the nest system.

In the past I would say Hey Google to my old system, play XYZ radio station, and it would play. That's all I want now.

Hi @nbinthewoods

I believe the Nest pro doesn't have Google assistant. I know the original nest WiFi product did (at least on the node not the router)

They deleted that feature for the pro product. You will need to use a nest speaker or display to get back Google assistant

Hope this helps
