When trying to setup (adding) a wifi device/mesh, I get the error: The operation could not be completed. (googlemac_iPhone_Home_Wifi_Operations_Impl_Impl.PollForCompletionOperationImplerror 0.)
I'm also unable to go into the settings for the Wifi service from the Google Home app (like to add Cloud services). It just spins and doesn't load the page.
Anyone else having this issue?
iPhone X, IOS 14.8

I am having this same issue tonight. I get the same error trying to set up the wifi point.
I'm also having the same issue with cloud. I click to turn it on and it just sits and spins and then it slides off again.

I’m having the same problem! That makes three of us. Any help would be appreciated.

Boys, I just wasted 3 hours with the exact same problem. RESTART YOUR IPHONE. BAM! WORKS!
11-09-2021 07:43 PM
Sadly rebooting doesn’t work for me. I’ve tried rebooting the router, my iPhone, forgetting the WiFi network, chicken waving, etc to no avail

I'm having the same issue too and restarting my phone didn't work. Are you able to view any of the past threads that have had this problem?
11-09-2021 08:18 PM
I had already reset everything else and just tried restarting my phone, but nope, that didn't work for me. 😞

Same issue, just got through the headache of getting the Nest Router to complete set-up. Ugh… I tried resetting phone, router, access point. Nothing
11-09-2021 08:22 PM
I was able to get the main point connected, but upon adding other point(s) around the house, get the dreaded "The operation couldn't be completed. (googlemac_iphone_Home_Wifi_Operations_Impl_Impl.PollForCompletionOperationImplerror 0.)" Also can't access Cloud Services or Settings in Google Home app. The app sees the points but can't create the mesh and ends on the error.

Same. I initially had an issue with my main one as well. I contacted Google help and someone walked me through getting it fixed - deleted the app and reinstalled, reset everything. It took forever, but finally got one back up and running. It's that second wifi point that I can't get working no matter what I do. The person I was talking to for that couldn't help, so he told me to send a comment through the feedback area in the app and include a screenshot of my error. Was told someone would get back to me within the hour, but it's been a couple hours now and nothing.

Same error here. Have reset all devices and modem and still can’t get the other points set up. It’s been a headache and no idea what to do

Ok, I finally got my mesh network setup and it took quite awhile. This reddit thread helped me the most probably https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleWiFi/comments/pnpon3/google_wifi_mesh_connection_failed/
I waited longer between factory resets before connecting. I factory reseted multiple times per router. It was annoying but, it worked out. I would plug in the router and factory reset it, then my phone couldn't find the device/router, so I would unplug and plug it back without factory resetting it the second time, and this time it would find the device/router to mesh. Honestly, it's a really buggy setup. It seems as if you're setting up an independent Google wifi point, but it's really still trying to connect to the mesh. Best of luck everyone.

Woke up at 6am before work and decided to just try one more time and all points finally connected. Did nothing different - I had given up after hours last night and just went to sleep. So maybe try during a random time in the middle of the night? So annoying but I'm so glad it's finally worked because my internet is much better now!
11-10-2021 07:48 AM
Just tried mine again also and FINALLY I was able to add that wifi point back and turn on my cloud services.
11-10-2021 09:30 AM
Same! Worked this morning for me and took less than 15 minutes to set up.
11-10-2021 10:38 AM
Guys I also just tried it again randomly and it worked. I didn't do anything different - just waited until the next day. So, my recommendation is to have patience and keep trying. Just to be clear, I did have to create a new network when I started this whole thing (I wanted to add Wifi to my Google Home app). The initial setup worked for me and it was just adding this mesh that was problematic. Good luck everyone!

Hey, all.
Sorry for the setup issues you're having. I know this is really frustrating and it is something we're looking internally. I noticed that Ggibson98 was able to get things working through the repeated factory reset process. Others have had success doing this as well, but I know it's a pretty cumbersome process. If you're willing to go through that, it has worked for others as well. It's something you can try while we work on a more permanent and easy to implement fix.
Again, we are working on this issue internally. I'll update the thread when I receive any news.
Thanks.

Is this the official reply from Google on this issue??? I just bought a 450 USD Google Wifi Nest Pro kit and I am experiencing the same issues as everyone else here. I have read through numerous posts in various communities and tried all tips&tricks, and nothing!! Given that this has been an issue over such a long period of time, it is insane that the error still persist!
10-27-2022 07:22 PM
Not an official Google statement, but trust me: just buy a low-cost Android device and you won't have setup headaches anymore. The regular network management can go through iPhone, but it is impossible to setup anything in the same way.

Hey, tdmalone.
Thanks for letting us know how you worked your way around the issue. Yes, there's a known issue with the iOS version of Home and a fix is in progress. I'm sorry for the confusion there, but I'm happy that you were able to find a temporary workaround.
For those still waiting for a fix, I'll update the thread when I know more.
Thanks.

Hey, all.
While this isn't the official fix, there is one more thing you can look at that might be a factor in your situation. Make sure the Home app has all the permissions enabled. We're running into some issues, specifically on iOS, where certain permissions not being enabled for Home are blocking key functionality and making communications limited. Review your app permissions to see if that might be what's going on in your situation. If things are still not working, just let me know.
Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion Jeff. I uninstalled the Home App and reinstalled it (ensuring all permissions were enabled), factory reset the wifi point but still no joy, restarted my phone but still fails every time. Appreciate the suggestion though.

Thanks for trying that, CdnInSydney. I was hoping that would clear things up, but we'll keep working on a solution.
Thanks again.

Hey, LombardHis.
As of right now, I don't have any info on when a fix will be available, but I will be updating things here as soon as I know more.
Thanks.
12-10-2021 08:24 PM
Thanks for the update. Looking forward to a fix but appreciate being kept in the proverbial loop.
12-14-2021 10:27 AM
Sure thing, CdnInSydney.
I do my best to keep the info coming as I get it. I know it's frustrating though. Thanks for staying with me on it.
01-06-2022 02:24 PM
Thanks for the update, mimesis. I'm happy you were able to sort it out using a factory reset!
11-10-2021 04:59 PM
Update: After about 7 Factory Resets it finally connected this morning. It will take a while but you must be patient and eventually they will connect. Best of luck to anyone else going through this.

I’m in the same proverbial boat. Couldn’t run a mesh test tonight, one of my points was no longer visible and now I get the above error.
Has there been any update/s on the update/s?
Edit: I've factory reset the point and restarted my iPhone/iPad multiple times and have tried at various times of the day to no avail.
Thanks!

Has there been any update on when there will be a fix? I just migrated to the google home app to be able to add in two more wifi points but as with everyone else, it is not working.
12-27-2021 08:11 PM
After trying several ways to try to add the last device and failed, I managed to resolve the issue by factory reset the main Google Wifi device that attached to network via a cable and setup the rest as per normal. I think the issue might have started during migration from Google Wifi to Goggle Home app.

This topic is really helpful, thank you all for sharing experiences.
I’ve been using a 3nodes Google Eifi mesh for more than 3 years, but had to reset the entrire network today and it is impossible to setup the 3rd point. I have factory reset it 5+ times, and will try tomorrow morning hoping any magic may happen during the night.
if it doesn’t work, will try uninstalling and reinstalling the iOS Home app.
01-21-2022 04:49 PM
Interesting thanks I’m in exactly the same position as you, one access point suddenly stopped working and non amount of factory resets fixes it. Frustrating!
01-24-2022 04:47 PM
It’s becoming ridiculous! I’m still not able to configure the 3rd node, even though it was a hardware problem and bought a new 3-nodes pack and… surprisingly it is not working yet!
Where is the Google support team to fix this ASAP?

Factory reset on the Google home nest didn't work but I unplugged the main Google home nest as well and it started working.
02-12-2022 12:28 PM - edited 02-13-2022 11:13 PM
Ok after some months and at least 20 attempts to reset, my access point has finally come right and joined the mesh. I wish I could say why, but there’s no reason I can discern for it to suddenly work. I had left it in reset state, powered on for about 10 days before trying to connect it this time, Also, following the previous poster, I had also reset it with the Master switched off that didn't help immediately - but maybe that helped later - Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
02-16-2022 06:19 PM
Just my experience... factory reset the new point didn't work, but unplugging the main router/point and pluggin it back in while I did another factory reset on the new point worked. Or at least that's what happened immediately prior to getting it to connect without the error.
02-17-2022 11:25 AM
Yeah I think on reflection this is likely what fixed mine. Hard to know for sure - I tried so many things!
02-22-2022 06:14 AM
Had the same issue after I factory reset one of the points, and I managed to solve it ! Sharing here so those who still have same issue can try.
firstly I tried factory reset (manual) , moving it nearer to the primary node, reset phone, del n reinstall app, above all dint work.
what worked was when I unplug n plug back the primary node (kinda like restarting) and waited it for the light on the primary one to turn white then try to add again and finally got to the scan QR code page. And the rest is a breeze . Now all three points are running well.
hope this helped
