Operation could not be completed, adding mesh, googlemac_iPhone_Home_Wifi_Operations

When trying to setup (adding) a wifi device/mesh, I get the error:  The operation could not be completed. (googlemac_iPhone_Home_Wifi_Operations_Impl_Impl.PollForCompletionOperationImplerror 0.)

I'm also unable to go into the settings for the Wifi service from the Google Home app (like to add Cloud services).  It just spins and doesn't load the page.

Anyone else having this issue?

iPhone X, IOS 14.8

Hey, everyone.
As an update for you all, I wanted to let you know that we have a firmware update coming out now. Some people may have already received the update, but most will see it coming still. Everyone will have it before the end of April. If you receive that update and don't see an improvement in your issues here, please let me know and we can keep looking into things.
Thanks.

Hi Jeff

my mesh point just went off now. Same error googlemac_iphone_home_wifi_operationw_impl_impl.pollforcompletion.operationimpl error 0. Tried resetting multiple times, no luck.

Any action required for Firmware are update, or will it be silent?

If there HAS been a firmware update, it doesn’t seem to have fixed this issue. I got an alert on my phone today saying that a mesh point had gone offline. Turned it off and on again, no luck. Factory reset, no luck. I also cannot now run speed or mesh tests - despite the fact the system itself seems to be working fine. And I’m still one mesh point short…

It would sound ridiculous, but try running the setup using an Android device. It worked for me.

I did finally find a way to fix the issue, which involved deleting my current "home" and restarting from scratch. I now have all points back online and seemingly working OK. Long may it last!

I'm getting the samething on my new Google Nest WIFI Pro (Oct-2022) from iPhone 14 pro. Not able to add mesh-network. Not able to connect and setup the two last APs. Tried for hours now. I've resat the app, the router(s). Deleted everythin. Nothing works. Hope you have Android, because this doesn't work with iPhone.

Have you tried with an Android?

I had this issue for ages, but switching from  iPhone to Android didn’t help. Finally solved it by switching off the primary mesh point and factory resetting the device that wouldn’t join the mesh

I was excited getting my nest WiFi pro today. Also my first google product since 1st gen chrome cast. Never ever have I struggled so much - and still can’t add mesh points to the network. Did someone even test this product?

I finally gave up after spending HOURS on trying to resolve this, and returned the Wifi Nest Pro back to the store. Bought the older Wifi Nest. Works perfectly with no mesh installation issues.

Any clarity on this issue... same as all the others in this thread... cant get the second node working...??

Hey there - to save you from trawling through the many posts on this, I can summarise as follows:

1. There seems to be official response or fix from Google yet, although one has been promised

2. Some posters have been able to resolve this by using Android rather than iOS devices to set up

3. Others including myself have been able to resolve by powering off and leaving off your primary router then factory resetting any secondaries that don’t work.

hope that helps!

I returned mine, and got ASUS mesh router and node. Works like a charm
