Problem connecting to the cloud server

Hi, 

 

i have a nest wifi router with two points that i bought in the USA a few weeks ago. 

i’ve setup my Google Home on my phone, connect my Nest router to my modem, power to the wall socket and everything looks good. However, no matter what i do the “Problem can’t connect to the cloud server” pops up after connecting to the router. 

i’ve tried a hard reset on everything, unplugged and replugged, changed region on phone, changed language back and forth, restarted my phone, closed/open Google Home. 

why isn’t this working?

please help?

I’m having the same problem. From what I can tell, this has been an issue for months. I’m going to return my wifi points

Same problem here after a power cut.  I have tried everything nothing works, any ideas???

Hey all,

 

Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to follow up and see if you are still in need of any help with your device not being connected to the cloud server? I know this is not ideal. Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Hi there!  I had to buy a new one.  It was impossible and even though the other one turns on and everything is impossible to achieve connection.

Hi Jake,

i’ve not been able to connect my Nest to my ISP. 

it really has been an unsatisfying experience so far.

I am sorry to hear you are still having trouble with your device. Do you mind me asking what country you are currently in? Do you happen to know if you have an AP or Client isolation enabled on your router? Do you know if you have MAC address filtering on your router as well? Please let me know, so I can further look into the issue for you.

No, still not working. Problem connecting to the server when setting up through the Home app.
