I've also looked at the the reply in a similar post with the link from Olavrb but not working as well. Any suggestions?

Hi fishcake,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with port forwarding on your Google Wifi network. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:
Thanks,
Edward

Thank you for responding. I have not tried port forwarding from the modem and will look into it. So far I’ve only tried port forwarding from the router. I have the 1st generation of google wifi mesh routers. And I am using a modem provided to me by my ISP spectrum.

Hi, everyone.
It's been a little while since we've seen some activity here. I did want to remind everyone we have a help article regarding port forwarding, found here: https://bit.ly/2WBaUUm. This article will go over the process and any differences you need to take into account if you're using IPv6 or IPv4 as well as other specific settings.
If you've gone through that guide and followed the steps and are still seeing issues, please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi, everyone.
Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.
Thanks.

Hi Edward, I'm interested in this issue and have similar scenario I am working through.
I am working with;
- Verizon Fios g3100 router/isp
- Google Nest Router & 3 google points
I started by
- connecting my device (Helium) to Verizon router
- reserving static ip for device (Helium)
- config port forward for device (Helium)
Result: After port checking, port is Open - success!
My next step is to do same on Google Home/Nest Router;
- reserve static IP on Home (for device Helium)
- config port forward on Home (for device Helium)
(both of these are setup correctly for device Helium as far as I can tell)
However, once I remove the device (Helium) from wired connection (with Verizon Router)
Result - Port Closed
----
So, this is as far as I can get.
From what I understand, I must;
**Apply port forwarding to device (Helium) AND Nest Router**,
Then, (supposedly) I can delete port forward & static ip for device (Helium) in Verizon and just use port forward and static ip Mesh config'd in Nest.
This is as far as I have gotten.
Issue: I do not see how it is possible to apply port forward on 'Nest Router' in addition to device (Helium), I do not see Nest Router listed as a device in the list.
