Question about linking Google WiFi AC1200 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Mesh Wi-Fi Router

Good afternoon, everyone

I spent some time on the internet trying to see if this was possible to do but I could not find an answer or any detailed manuals for this router. I am considering the purchase of the Google WiFi AC1200 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Mesh Wi-Fi Router in the 3 pack as offered on Amazon for about $270.00. I am currently using a TP Link modem and a range extender for WiFi coverage. What I would like to know is can I install one of the units as a base unit connected to my ISP's modem and then hook up the second unit via an ethernet cable instead of using WiFi to make the connection and just having the third connected via WiFi. Reason is my TV is about 80 feet away from where my ISP's modem is located and I have an existing ethernet cable running this distance and I would like to use this cable.

In summary what I am trying to see if the following is possible

1. Hook up one of the pods to my ISP's modem per the instructions from Google

2. Hook up the second pod to the first pod via an ethernet cable. Not sure what ports would be used to make this connection if it is even possible

3. Hook up the third pod just using WiFi as per the instructions from Google

Thank you for helping me make this purchase decision

This is 100% doable!

Each device has an Ethernet port for direct connection and each AP is connected to the main device and subsequently each other to create the mesh. You just need to follow the setup in the Home app.

Here's some articles that many help:

What is a mesh network?
