Removing WiFi devices

gnom
Community Member

Hi

I have very old devices in my wifi list. They get never deleted, there are devices from visitors from 2023 in the list.

I couldn't find a way to delete them. Only suggestion is to wait 30 days. I am waiting since years and still not removed.

Has anybody a solution? And no, I don't like to delete my current network.

Thanks

Hi @gnom,

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that you have old, unused devices still appearing on your Wi-Fi list that you are unable to remove and that the devices from 2023 have not been automatically deleted. I understand how frustrating this might be. I appreciate you confirming that you do not want to delete your current network. I'll be happy to assist.

To gather the necessary information, please answer the following questions:

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Best regards,

Thanks for your reply

I use a Nest wifi router, 3 Nest wifi points. I reboot my network devices every day automatically.

I made a lot of research but it was said the devices drop off after 30 days. They don't and there is a long list of inactive devices.

I read comments to delete the network but that's not an option as there are too many devices to adjust.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey there!

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate you providing the information requested. I understand that deleting the network isn't an ideal option for you. In this case it looks like the devices still on your network might be devices that were previously connected to your personal account.

We can try a few things to get them removed:

  1. Open a web browser and go to myaccount.google.com
  2. Sign in to the Google account from which you want to remove the device.
  3. In the left-hand menu, select Security.
  4. Scroll down to the "Your devices" section and click on Manage all devices.
  5. A list of all devices logged into your account will appear. Find the device you want to remove.
  6. Click on the device to see more information.
  7. Click the Sign out or Remove button.
  8. Confirm your choice when prompted.

Let me know how it goes.

Best regards.

Hi Derick

Thanks for your message.

I did exactly what you told me but under "my devices" is only a phone

I didn't use for 64 days. It was my phone and I guess it shows up because it

has google configured on it.

The devices I am talking about are visitors/friends/family who only connected to the wifi.

Is there a way to delete those?

Thanks and regards

Sascha

Hey there!

Thanks for your reply. In this case, since you already checked the information on your side. The option to manually delete devices from this list is not available because the list is designed to show a history of all devices that have connected to your network, and there is no function to remove them. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for. I recommend that you submit the following feedback form.

Derick.
