Repeated: A new device has joined your network

I've had Google wifi for a few years now but just in the last 2 weeks I'm getting 100+ "A new device has joined our network" every day.

I'm interested to know what might have changed - we have the same devices.

The most common is Unnamed Device with an unknown MAC address ... lots and lots of them.

Curious, sounds like a glitch to me.  You could try turning off the new device connection notification for a day or so before turning it back on, see if it continues?

I'm guessing if you contacted support they'd ask you to factory reset your router and points to fix the problem, but I know that's a major hassle if you have a lot of devices connected, and who doesn't these days.

I have 5 access points and about 45 devices. Might be worth factory reset to bring everything back to clean. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi, eMonkey64.

Sorry about the confusing situation with your device notifications. I just wanted to check in to see if you did try that factory reset process. If so, did the problem clear up, or did you see more of the same? Let me know if if you still need some input on this.

Thanks.
