Router will not connect to internet. Reset to factory default still no connection

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Google Wifi. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

 

  • Are you trying to set up the Google Wifi router?
  • What's the light status of your Google Wifi?
  • Can you check if you can access the internet while connected to your Google Wifi's temporary setup network?

I got my problem resolved with a Google tech and our ISP, but it was a struggle. Next time this happens my first request will be for our ISP to reprovision our modem. That seemed to be the magic bullet.

Thanks for checking. We put the router and modem on a battery backup/UPS to try to prevent the surges that seem to trigger the issue. So far so good.
