I factory reset my nest wifi point recently to add to a new wifi network. As I lost the QR code for the device setup in Google Home app, so I used 8-character setup code i.e. M4DKGHKW, found as fine prints along the bottom rim of the silicon base of the device. However, the Google Home app threw an error, "Wrong setup code" while there are texts written that it is looking for 8-digit setup code. Is the setup code supposed to be 8 numbers or 8 characters of alphanumeric? I am sure that I used the same code as what saw, but it fails the check on setup code
. Does anyone experience the same issue and is there a way to resolve this?

Try from a different device (Android, iOS, iPadOS) with the Google Home app using the same Google account?

Thank you for your prompt reply. I had my son to verify the setup code as the print were faint and small and he confirmed that "C" looked like a "G" due to due some dirt stains on the silicon. So the set up code is working fine now.. Thank you so much for your support and may be it is better that Google makes clearer print to avoid such mistake by the consumer in the future.
