Setup fails on new WiFi point

Setup fails on new WiFi point at the “waiting for the final bits of setup to complete. 

after the crazy hurricane in nc my WiFi extender has not worked so I finally got a replacement from google but I’m unable to set it up as it fails at the last step. The model number of the router is “ac-1304” and the number of the replacement is “QJ2CO”

In this case, could you please send a picture of the error that you are getting on the Google Home app while you are trying to set up the device?
