Several Unknown Devices connecting after factory reset

Muminxpq

For some reason after a factory reset I have almost a daily new "Unknown Device" connecting to my network with a new MAC-adress. They are never online and only happens during night i.e there is no way checking them while they are online and I don´t even know for how long they have been connected.

Does anyone know what this is and why they keep piling up?  I did a factory reset and updated the password in order to get rid off several old devices that no longer should be able to access our wifi, after this the problem just got worse.

Could be MAC randomization, a privacy feature built in to modern OS-es to make it harder to track devices across networks by randomizing the MAC address.

Or a longstanding bug where unknown devices appear and does not disappear from the list of devices.

I don't work for Google.

Thanks, pretty sure it's due to randomization.
