Stop automatic reset of Google router

SofiaMagdalena

So apparently the google routers factory reset them self's if they are not connected to the internet for 6 months +.
This just forced me to set up my whole smart home again.

Is there a way to stop it from doing this?
I have my router in my summer house and it will have no internet for 6 months all the time. So if this function cant be changed I cant use google router.
Also very annoyed that this "function" wasn't stated clearer when buying product.

Hello SofiaMagdalena,

Apologies for the late revert.

While I would like the option to prevent the automatic reset on your Google Wifi router, stopping it from doing that is not possible at the moment. If your Google Wifi is powered off or disconnected from the internet for 6 months, it'll factory reset itself the next time it connects to the internet, and Google will automatically delete the app data and cloud data. But, our team is working hard to deliver the best experience for our users — we'll take this as feedback

Let us know if you have other questions or concerns.

Kind regards,
Alex
