The Caller does not have Permission

I’m having persistent issues setting up my 3-pack of Google Nest WiFi Pro units. I deleted my original Google Home setup and created a new Home in the app. When I attempt to set up the primary pod, I consistently receive the error message: “The caller does not have permission.”

I’ve already:

  • Performed a factory reset on the devices.
  • Confirmed I’m the owner of the new Home in the Google Home app.
  • Waited for the light to change from pulsing white to blue.
  • Tried setup on both iOS and Android devices.
  • Ensured Bluetooth and location permissions are enabled.
  • Verified that my internet connection is stable and active.
  • tried different Google accounts
  • created a new personal Gmail account just for this purpose and tried that

Despite these steps, I am unable to complete the setup. I have been at it for over 2 hours!!! The app either tells me the internet is offline (when it’s not), or it repeats the “caller does not have permission” message. I also occasionally receive an internal error message with no further explanation.

I urgently need assistance resolving this access issue so I can use the system I purchased.

I am having similar issues.  I have tried resetting and deleting Google Home app and reintsalling.  I have been at it for about 4 hours now, installing, unistalling etc...  I can get the main wifi point to work, but then I cant get the others to speak to the main one.  I put them right next to the main one and the app tells me that I need to move the point closer to the wifi point.  I am going to take these back and get something that works unless I don't get a quick fix as I am over it at the moment.
