Trouble port forwarding TCP/UDP port 25565 to 25565 to host a minecraft server

Hi All,

Ive got an issue with trying to port forward 25565 to 25565 (minecraft port apparently??) and im not sure whats happening, i know for a fact i dont run double NAT (asked the person who setup the network). I can forward maximum 254 to 254 as a protocol, not sure why its limited to that and why its limited to 3 digits in the app.

Does anyone have an idea for a solution?

The network setup im using is Fibre running into a TP Link Modem which then goes into google wifi gen 2 and various gen 1 points linked across the house.

254 sounds like you're setting an IP and not a port? Have you given whatever device is hosting the server a reserved IP?

Yup, using a reserved IP that i set within the app. The port forwarding says the rules failed or something along those lines, only lets says the rule saved if its between 0-254.
