Unable to reach Youtube

Hey folks-

I am unable to watch YouTube videos on my google wifi gen 1 system. I can access and watch other streaming sites. I've tried the following:

- Power cycling the Google WiFi router / APs (still doesn't work)

- Factory Reset of the Google WiFi (doesn't work)

- Connecting directly to the modem, bypassing the google WiFi network. (works)

- Using cellular data (works)

Any ideas?

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues with watching Youtube while connected to your Google Wifi. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

• What device are you using? Have you checked if it's doing the same thing on other devices?
• Have you tried opening Youtube on a different browser?

To isolate the issue, could you try changing the DNS? You could click on this link to learn more about this.

Hey Edward-

I did get to solve the problem. For whatever reason, it was DNS. Always is, lol. But setting the default DHCP DNS server to 1.1.1.1 seemed to fix the issue.
