Using iOS and Google Wifi Access Points, cannot open Digital Wellbeing within the Google Home App. Get the message Couldn't open settings, TRY AGAIN. Rebooted phone, rebooted entire network, deleted Google Home App, still doesn't work, same error. App version 2.42.120 and iOS version 14.7.1. Found some Reddit posts but they are a few months old and either resolved itself or no further comments. Any help is appreciated.. Get the message Couldn't open settings, TRY AGAIN. I just wanted everyone to know I was able to finally fix this problem after posting this 18 months ago. I replaced my entire Google Wi-Fi system with a competitor. While I have to pay a few bucks a year for the parental controls, it's just as flexible and management from iOS devices works great. Also, was able to improve my whole house coverage with one less access point.

I would like to see video evidence that ANYBODY can access this with IOS. It might work only after being set up with Android first but I can’t test this because I only have an Android 5 device (6 minimum requirement). Troubleshooting tickets for this just get locked with no resolution.

I’m desperate to get this fixed. Does anyone have any solution?

Hey there everyone,
Sorry to hear that we are running into issues with opening Digital Wellbeing within the Google Home app on iOS. I know some processes can be confusing, but I'm happy to look into this for you.
Just to clarify, the issue is only happening with iOS?
Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the app on your phone?
I look forward to hearing from y'all so that we can get this resolved.
Best regards,
Garrett DS

I only use iOS devices, so yes and I have deleted and reinstalled the Google Home app. Thanks for the help.

After you have done this, are you still having the issues? What screen are you getting or what errors are you getting after trying this?
I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Garrett DS

“Couldn't Open Settings. Try Again"

Hey there folks,
I have escalated this issue to a higher tier team to look at as there are no current bugs that we are aware around this. However, since it seems like there are more people saying that they are having this issue, a bug ticket may be created.
I'll continue to keep this thread up to date.
Best regards,
Garrett DS

Garrett really disappointed! I was a Gmail beta tester and have dev account and have always gotten straight answers from Google. Remember “Do No Evil”?!
They screwed Up. Now blaming the failure in users. That’s evil
Please escalate to this comment to public relations and further. Public apology required here

I have migrated to the Home App
I don't have an Android device.

Having exactly the same issue using iOS
09-22-2021 09:24 AM
For me:
1. I am trying to access and modify settings of Digital wellbeing from the Google Home App for my ~2-year old Google Nest wifi (we have 6 wifi next routers in our home). I dont have any other Google non-wifi devices in our house. Google Home only is used to control wifi.
2. I am the only one who has access to control of our home system so only one who migrated. I access Google Home from either my iPhone or iPad, both of which get same "couldnt open settings" error message.
3. We dont have any Android devices in our home to check if that works.
Hope this helps.

I have same issues with my Google Wifi/Googe Home app on iOS, looking the feedback soon
09-27-2021 02:45 PM
Hi everyone,
Thank you for the patience on this. I just received a request from our engineering team that you file a feedback report from the Google Home app with the descriptor of, "GHT3 Wifi Digital Wellbeing not loading"
As they get reports of these, they will compile them and it will make it easier for them to dig into the issue.
I appreciate your patience on this.
Best regards,
Garrett DS

Hi Mel
thank you for the fast reply.
Actually I did not use nest wifi. I just buy a nest hub 2nd gen and download the Google home app. Now I want to turn off YouTube on nest hub through the settings Digital Wellbeing. But I cannot use this feature in Home app, it showed “couldn’t open settings”. Any suggestions for fixing this issue?
thanks
