Wan settings in home app

Where are the WAN settings in the Google Home app? Want to check Nest it is using DHCP as changing ISP. The online instructions no longer match the app options. There doesn't appear to be a wifi / advanced settings options suggested. Saw similar issue and answer appeared to be to do a factory reset.

Hi @RichardP60

This is where the settings are:

  1. On the "Home" tab of the Google Home app, scroll the icons at at the top and tap the Wi-Fi icon.
  2. Scroll down and tap "Network settings" then scroll again and tap "Advanced networking".
  3. Tap "WAN connection" and it'll show you whether it's set to DHCP / Static IP / PPPoE.

You're saying you don't see these options? Can you see your Wifi devices in the app at all?

Thanks for reply David. Originally the wifi option was not displaying at the top of home. Only the icons for favs, devices and climate were displayed on my android version. I proceeded to factory reset everything and set up the network again, which is operating normally with new ISP, and now the wifi icon is displaying. No idea why wifi icon and related info wasn't displaying, but definitely didn't dream it. All good now tho. Cheers Richard.

Glad to hear that! I have sometimes seen users report that a factory reset of the network is required if you change your ISP so suspect that's why it resolved for you.
