We are trying to change from tethering off of T-MOBILE to this Google Home and nothing is connecting

My sister told me about the benefits of Google Home over tethering off of the T-Mobile phone since it's weak.

So we got a Google Home AND we eventually got a modem.  The modem in question is an ARRIS SURFboard she got from Amazon.

I've been following the instructions and still nothing is connecting.  Like the modem and the Home are connected yet nothing is connecting.

I need help please 😭
