Hi I am in the UK. I have the Google Mesh WiFi and point pack and have just had new TalkTalk broadband router delivered. I have a smart home Inc Google Hub, 2 x Google Max Hubs, Google Nest Thermostate learning 3, 2 Google Protect Fire alarms, Wall Light Switches, Tapo plugs and several tvs (Samsung Q85 and 2x LG - all less than 3 year old), and a Ring doorbell and several laptops etc that were connected to the previous Talk Talk router I had but not the Google Mesh.
What I need help with are:
● which next
(ii) Do I set up the router and connect all the gadgets to the new router, and then plug in the mesh ( if so then what?),
or
(iii) Do I add the Google mesh and point to the router and then re add all gadgets to the Mesh?
or
(iv) Do I add the Google Mesh and point to the router and the add all the gadgets to the router?
😐

The Nest wifi has a router, so you should be connecting that directly to your ISP's modem, i.e. not using the TalkTalk router at all.

The TalkTalk router is a router and modem all in one, but as I have signal problems occasionally I was told to add a mesh. That is why I am not sure what to do next. Also do I plug the cable from the Mesh into the ethernet or WAN port as all the instructions on the Google website just say "plug into your modem'.

Hi TinaR,
It's me again, I wanted to check back in to see if you have other questions and concerns. Feel free to let me know if you do.
Thanks,
Edward

Hi all.
Yes Please. The Google router is connected to the modem and all the Google gadgets (2 protect fire/co alarms, 3 max hubs, nest thermostate), all my Tapo plugs, smart lights (sonoff and king) even a WiFi heater all connected.

Is it under warranty? Even if not I'd be getting straight onto the Nest Wifi support team, they've been very responsive to me in the past.

Hey, everyone.
It looks like we've slowed down here.. We'll be closing up the thread unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.
Thanks.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks

If it was your ISP that told you to add a mesh network to fix signal problems then I'd suggest using their support to help you connect Nest wifi to the modem/router they've given you. A quick search tells me 'modem only' has been removed as an option from TalkTalk so it'll be quite fiddly getting the two routers connected to each other.
