I have a set of 4 WiiM Pro wireless audio receivers on my Google Nest WiFi Pro network and am dealing with them continually losing network connectivity after a while. I've done all I can to force them to stay awake, assigning them static IPs, giving them DHCP reservations, giving them preferred static DNS entries, etc... but they will still go offline. In the Google Home app, they still show as connected, with their assigned IP, but they no longer respond to any pings. A router reboot causes them all to start working again. So it's hard to determine who is at fault here.
I'm asking to see if anyone else is having this issue with these types of devices, as I've heard from others on Asus or other brand routers that they're not having these same issues. I'm just wondering if this is all related to these same issues that others are facing on the potentially faulty firmware that is causing drops/disconnects on our Google Nest WiFi Pro Routers, per: https://9to5google.com/2024/07/02/nest-wifi-pro-update-issues/

For others that may have run into this issue with their WiiM devices, the fix seems to be to disable IPv6 on the WiiM device itself. This has made all my devices respond immediately and are no longer seemingly dropping off the network, or not responding. Not sure if there's some conflict with IPv6 with the Nest Pro Wi-Fi devices, but will leave this to the WiiM/Google devs to chew on. 😉
