Every review I read says the answer to my question is no it cannot, so upgrading from my 1 Gbps service to 2 Gbps will not work with the Nest WiFi Pro system. However after 30 minutes on the phone with Google’s “tech support” I was assured that the units will accept up to 2.3 Gbps from my isp. Is there anyone that has isp speed over 1 Gbps that has hooked these units up and can give me an answer? Thanks in advance!

The ethernet ports are limited to 1gbps/ gigabit.

Google needs to state that includes WAN as stated with the standard Nest WiFi, as well as letting their tech support know. I'm kind of blown away that both times I contacted Google (chat and by phone) they both said it would give internet speeds over the gigabit it's capped at. I asked how could that be, but they had no explanation except assurance it was able to go to 2.3 Gbps. Thanks for the reply. Another RMA request, unfortunately. Going with eero 6e pro setup.

I agree.
The theoretical max wireless speed between the nodes are higher than gigabit, but that does not help much regarding WAN speed because of the cap of gigabit on the ethernet ports.

No I’m all set. I unfortunately will have 2 gig fiber soon and can’t use this system because it’s capped at 1 gig. I just mailed my 3 pack back today.
