Wired Printer access wirelessly on LAN

We just installed a Nest Mesh system on our AT&T Fiber network. Works great and can access non-wifi Dell printer wired through ethernet with no problem on desktop computer. Used to be able to connect from laptop through our home network. We've tried to set up through the printer's IP address but it can't find the printer - probably because it's connected directly to the AT&T modem/router and not the new mesh network. Do we need a switch and if so, how would we connect it to the Nest? Or do we need to change something on the AT&T equipment? Thanks.

The Nest Wifi creates it's own subnet, which is diffrent than you current lan. You have a few options.

1. Put the Nest in AP mode (lose mesh capabillity)

2. Put a switch on the lan port of the Nest router (Complaints of slowing everything down)

3. Ethernet to Wifi adaptor

4. Find a diffrent mesh system that will operate as a mesh in AP mode.

Hi and thanks! Works fine now for my laptop, not so much for another (hardwired) computer in the house. We're working on it. Appreciate you following up.

Thanks we're going to try the switch and see what happens. Otherwise I'll just plug the ethernet directly into the nest. Appreciate your help. Thanks!
