Won’t reconnect to WiFi

Tried everything possible..... reset. everything...multiple times.   Replaced modem in house and added everything back into Google Home.    Everything works fine except I cannot get my doorbell camera to work.   Was working fine before.    I have blue light flashing all the time and cannot connect through Google Home.   I try through Nest App, but pushes me to Google home.   I have turned everything off, factory reset the door bell, done everything....and very frustrated.   The door bell will not connect to my WIFI.  Please help and figure out what I am doing wrong

Hi @Safwatishaker,

Thank you for posting in the community. I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble reconnecting your Nest Doorbell to your Wi-Fi after replacing your modem. I understand how exhausting it is to factory reset and troubleshoot multiple times without success, especially when your other devices are working fine. I appreciate the detail you provided regarding the flashing blue light and the app behavior. I'm happy to assist you.

Please provide the information requested below to better understand the cause for the issue:

  • Aside from the affected doorbell, do you have any other Nest cameras or doorbells connected to your app?
  • Are you receiving a specific error code or message when trying to set up the doorbell in the Google Home app?
  • What is the specific model of the Nest Doorbell experiencing the issue?
  • Who is your Internet Service Provider (ISP)?

In the meantime, I recommend ensuring you have removed the doorbell from the Google Home or Nest app if it is still showing as offline. After a factory reset, the doorbell must be removed before re-adding it to the app.

You can double-check the factory reset process for Nest Doorbells by visiting the article Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Anders
