Yellow flashing light on Nest Wi-Fi Pro (Internet working fine)

Wyv

Hi. I have a flashing yellow light on each of my 3 Google Nest Wifi pro units.

The network is working fine. Speeds are good and the mesh is solid. No issues with internet.

The yellow lights are driving me nuts though, especially the one in the bedroom. I’ve had to put a piece of tape over the lights which isn’t something I want to do on a setup I’ve spent hundreds on.

I have had this setup for about 3 months and it’s been working perfectly until this issue occurred couple of weeks ago.

I tried restarting devices several times, both manually and via the app. I also tried a full factory reset and restore.

I am having the same issues as well. Started about a week or so ago when I noticed flashing yellow lights on all WiFi Pro devices. A quick help search said that there were network issues and to refer to the Home App. Just like the OP my Home app states everything is running well with mesh tests being successful and reporting great connections between all devices. A network test was also reporting no problems and reporting speeds of 762 UP and 833 DOWN. I ended up performing a factory reset as that was a suggestion if there were still network issues and now the speeds have dropped significantly (512 DOWN 163 UP), and the devices are still displaying flashing yellow lights despite the app stating all is good.

Model: G6ZUC

Software: 3.73.406133

Having same exact issue.  Slow flashing yellow light on all 5 Wifi Pro devices.  Network on all devices working normally though all stated causes points to network error which is not the case.  Information regarding firmware updates states latest US version (March 29, 2024) is 3.71.406133.  I have not see any instance mentioning a later version of firmware  All of my devices are sitting on a firmware version of 3.73.406133 though I can’t find any information when I search this version.  Logical thinking is since there is no network error, since all devices are working, a bug fix is needed to turn the blinking yellow light off.  Should mention I have performed multiple system resets to no avail.

I am in the same boat, internet working fine and wifi fine but slow blinking light. I've tried power cycling them, I've tried restarting with google home, tried changing various settings in them but nothing helps. How can I see the specific error this light represents?

Search “WiFi Pro slow blinking yellow light”. The explanation given will be that the most likely cause is a network error. However the few posts of this problem all say there is no network problem. Common fact of posts is an installed version of 3.73.406133.

That is a bug in the latest version of the firmware. We are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. In the meantime you can turn the lights off in the app.

Great to hear it's being worked on. But switching off the lights doesn't work for the yellow 'network error' light, it says so on the app.

I ran into the same problem. When my devices were automatically upgraded to firmware 3.73.406133. The devices kept restarting, and I kept losing Internet every minute or so for about 10 seconds. Very frustrating!

I am using the devices in a place that certain Google servers are blocked, but Internet in general works. The latest version just mare the product instable and not robust.

Any update on this fix? 2 weeks ago it said it was going to be in a few days

So it is NOW  May 11 My Nest Wifi Pro lights are still BLINKING. When will the fix occur?

I've got the dreaded slow blinking yellow light on my Nest Wifi Pros.

This system worked incredibly well for two weeks and just stopped working yesterday.

Yes, I've restarted the network. Yes, I've unplugged each device.

Has there been an actual fix to this issue yet?

When we try to log in to the home network settings, we get this message: "Error: an error occurred updating your network, please try again."

I just started having the same issue. I actually have several homes/apartments (Kids/Parents) set up with Nest Pros. Some are across the country.  When is the fix coming?

It's also affecting about 50% of my IoT devices.

Same issue.  Is the "fix" related to the latest Nest Wifi Pro update available yet?

"Our engineers are working on a fix related to the latest Nest Wifi Pro update, and we expect to have an update within the next few days."

Almost 3 weeks later and no sign of such update, I don't know why I tolerate Nest products anymore.

It must be annoying for the engineers that people keep complaining in this thread.

Almost as annoying as... I don't know... A FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT

i've been keeping up with the firmware updates being pushed out to the nest wifi pro devices and have since also contacted a few engineers reguarding the problem and will if provided any info or a fix on this subject relay said info back in this thread. sorry again for the inconvenience.

Would appreciate understanding when this annoying problem will be addressed.  Obviously is taking much longer than the few days Google announced a couple weeks ago.  Google customer service, or should I say lack of customer service, has become very disheartening.  Regarding all the different products I use, Google is the only one that doesn’t allow me to speak to a customer representative to fix a product problem.  I’ve been trying to find an answer to fix 3 wifi pro units that are, as of right now, bricks.  Can’t factory reset because I can’t get them paired to my modem.  All I get is the yellow flashing light.  I’ve become one frustrated Google product customer.

https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp?sjid=13633322287839704917-NA visit this link and fill out the form. When given the chance click call me and someone will call you usually in under a minute. Also to factory reset this device all you have to do is hold down the button on the bottom of the device. It's not clearly marked so feel for a button that is located in the center of the device. It will be located closer to the front. Hold the button down until the blinking light turns solid blue. Boom it will finish in about 5 minutes and start slowly blinking blue when back in setup mode.... Set it up with an android device and not an apple. You won't have the blinking light anymore.

Others have replied that factory reset does not work, that it will try to update and blinking light comes back. Have you tried this?

Also getting fed up waiting for a fix on this issue. Just bought these and I am not impressed with the flashing or the (lack of) customer service.

Network works absolutely fine, but all my devices flash yellow constantly.

See the reply above your comment. Do not set these back up using an Apple device.
