configured google mesh to bridge mode

present setup:

ISP -> Asus wifi router -> Google Mesh Primary point.

i want to configure my mesh to grab the IP address from my ASUS router, therefore i configured the primary router to bridge mode.

I face issue linking up the subsequent goggle mesh point it keep saying unable to connect, but once i change back the primary mesh point to NAT i can connect the subsequent mesh point without any difficulties.

Please kindly advise how i can configure my mesh to bridge mode as i do not wan to go with Double Nating

All expert out there please give me some advise.

Thank you

Hello @Spinner79

Google/Nest WiFi only supports a single unit in bridge mode. You can't attach secondary / mesh units when the primary is in bridge mode. To eliminated double NAT, you'd be better off eliminating the ASUS router and connecting your primary Google/Nest WiFi unit to your ISP and then connecting any wired devices through the LAN port (using one or more unmanaged Ethernet switches to make more ports available from there).

Here's a more detailed document that describes this: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6240987
