google mesh wifi point not found

ezvz

I am having trouble adding wifi points to the mesh system.  I have reviewed other posts about this and tried those solutions and they have not helped me.  I have an older wifi mesh system bought as a 3 pack that setup and worked perfectly in my old house.  Now I am trying to set up in my new house and the wifi points are not found.  Here are the things I have already tried:

restart network, delete and reinstall home app, reset button on the wifi points whilst plugging them in, tried setting up a point by ethernet cable to first working point.

any other ideas?

additional info:  I just tried again and the home app found the device that is hardwired to the first working mesh.  But when I click next I get this error:  DNS resolution failed for googlehomefoyer-pa.googleapis.com:443:unknown:nodename nor servname provided, or not known

help!

Thank you for checking in. I am good. I had to hardwire the meshes to the first one and completely reboot the system. Had to wait for husband to finish work for the day so took a while to figure it out.

What ISP and modem? Do you know if it's VLAN tagged?

Do you get internet access if you connect a PC by cable to the modem directly, and what IP do you get: Local IP / RFC 1918, or a public/ external IP?

I don't work for Google.
