nest router won’t connect after factory reset

I had to factory reset my network and now my nest router won’t be recognized when I try to re-set up. I’ve done the factory reset multiple times on the nest router, reset my network and modem, deleted the Google home app and re-downloaded it.

please help.

Hi Peterbacon,

Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear you're having trouble connecting your Nest router.

A solid white light means the device is connected and online with a successful internet connection. Can you verify you're using the correct Google account? If you have another Google account, it's possible you set up the Nest router with that email address.

If you don't have a large number of devices in your home structure, you can try deleting the existing home structure and creating a new home structure.

Keep me updated on how it goes.

Cheers,

Jonathan

I’ve already done all of the steps below and the light still remains solid white:

  1. On the bottom of the router, locate a circle etched into the device, then press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. The light will pulse yellow, then turn solid yellow. When the light is solid yellow, release the button. The light will turn solid white for about 5 seconds, then turn solid yellow.
  2. The reset process starts once the light turns solid yellow. It can take up to 10 minutes for the router to complete the reset, so don't unplug the power cord during this process.
  3. When the factory reset is complete, the light on the router turns a faint solid white light. After a few seconds, it should pulse white.
  4. Once the Nest Wifi router pulses white, it's ready for setup.

* NEST light is solid white (no pulsing) and not being recognizable from the google home app
