I want my Google home smart devices running on their own network.
WHY can't I run all of my Ghome speakers or displays on their own Wifi SSID or in a Guest Network???
Allowing this in wifi / network settings would allow for greater control and device prioritization.
My understanding is that the "nest wifi" supports tri-band. why doesn't Google home (app) support it?
The Google company has made millions of speakers/hub devices yet they don't have this option for a 3rd ssid for IOT devices!! or at least allowing them on the guest network setting. this would allow for greater control with scheduling down time, Example I would sleep from 12 A- 7A so disable all "smart home devices" during those hrs. not a "do not disturb" not "quiet time volume setting, Cut off the wifi data connection. their could be an approved list for any security monitoring devices like cameras.
leaving the "assistant" devices on separate SSID can allow for true device prioritization as the "prioritize device setting" is complete trash and my otherwise stable network become wildly inconsistent. After falling for that twice because of the negative results I had to factory reset my Nest router and rebuild my home network of 25 + devices.

Just a small correction: There is no triband support with any Nest Wifi or Google Wifi device. Specs:
I run all IoT devices on guest network, which is good enough for me.
If you want more advanced features and separation you should look into more advanced and expensive solutions, like Ubiquiti UniFi or Cisco Meraki Go.

interesting, I work for a big retailer and prior to the launch of the "Nest WIFI" product I was told by the Googlers' at a smart home event that it does in fact have tri-band antennas' within the unit, it has the 3rd band prioritized as back haul. Going so far as to tell us "the average user was confused as the benefit of dual band vs Tri band" and so the packaging all says "dual band mesh networking system"

Hey, User-xs.
While I can't speak to the tri-band vs. dual-band antenna build or if planned features may have changed along the way. I'm sorry if someone was mistaken and gave you info that didn't turn out to match the actual product upon release. As far as the original issues go, have you been able to get that all worked out, or did you still need some help there?
Thanks,
- Jeff

Rebuilt the home network with all speakers + 2 hub devices on guest network. Time will tell. Thanks

Sounds good, User-xs.
We'll keep this open a bit longer and I'll check back to see how things are going before we mark things as resolved.
Thanks,

Hi again, User-xs.
I'm just following up to see if things are still running stable for you. If things are still in good order, we can go ahead and mark this as resolved.
Thanks,

It looks like we've slowed down here. We'll be closing up the thread unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.
Thanks,
