Hi, I can't get my nest WiFi router to connect to any iot device's, ie indoor camera light bulb etc , as they operate on the 2.4ghz spectrum Is there anyway around this?

There is no way to seperate 2.4ghz and 5ghz into seperate SSIDs. But this is more a problem with your IoT device, it should be able to connect to it anyways. My 4x Mill Heat ovens, 4x Google Protect smoke alarms, 1x Roborock vacuum cleaner and 1x Netatmo Home Coach has same limitation (2.4ghz only), but work with my Nest Wifi router no problems.
One workaround is to turn off your Google Nest Wifi, launch a different access point that supports SSID with 2.4ghz only, same SSID and password (important), connect to it, turn off your AP and IOT device, turn on Google Nest Widi again, then turn on your IoT device, it should connect to Google Nest Wifi.

thank you for your quick response, but I haven't access to another wireless router and I will have to return the product as it won't do what I need. Disappointed with Google this time,
Many thanks

Hey, andy404.
It looks like olavrb was able to clear up what was going on with your question and your setup, but I wanted to jump in and follow up real fast to see if there's anything else you needed here. If so, just let us know.
Thanks.

Hey, andy404.
I'm sorry to hear that. It's really uncommon to find a device that will require a 2.4GHz and not see it be able to connect to the WiFi network. I know it does happen, and I'm sorry that you're in that situation with your devices.

Hi, andy404.
I just wanted to see if there was anything else we could do here. I know we're not able to get your devices to connect, but before I close up the thread I wanted to check in and see if there were any things we could do to help out. Let me know if there's more I can do here.
Thanks.
