I had to recently do a factory reset on my Nest router and wifi point. I dealt with the frustrating issue where the Home app just kept showing the animation on the "adding wifi point to your wi-fi network" screen when I was adding the wifi point. I finally got this to work by using an iPad instead of my Android phone. Why would it immediately work on my iPad when I have been trying for days on my Android phone? I uninstalled and reinstalled the Home app multiple times, so there shouldn't have been an issue with old settings. Whatever. I got that fixed.
Now, I can't disable the mute light. I tap the slider in the wifi point settings and it moves but I get the message "unable to save settings" and the light is still on. What's the deal?

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I'm sorry that you're experiencing trouble turning off the mute light for your Nest Wi-Fi point. I understand how frustrating this can be. I appreciate the effort to troubleshoot this situation. Let's work together to find a solution.
I just want to confirm if you tried the below steps:
Open the Google Home app.
Touch and hold the device's tile.
Tap Settings and then Lights.
Switch on "turn off mute light."
Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.

I contacted Google Nest Wifi support because my wifi point actually wasn't a wifi point on my network. I thought it was but I was wrong. They are working on getting an answer for me.
