Eligibility for Nest Secure Redemption Code

GDUBS123

I deleted the original Nest Secure Redemption email and reached out to the Google Support team for a resolution.   It didn't go well.

I'm in complete utter disappointment with Google due to the eligibility requirements set in place to redeem either the Google Store Credit or the self startup kit from ADT.  This is what the support team, Clara in particular, told me.  That is, I'm ineligible to redeem my code because I'm a government employee.  This makes no sense to me since I paid my money just like every other Nest Secure customer.  You talk about adding insult to injury.  This here is a prime example of an injustice to the customer.

I just finished a chat that went in complete circles, started with Martha than Anna and back to Martha who stated I was approved for the ADT equipment only to be told they could not help me either.  I inadvertently deleted the April 7th email but they verified my account.

It's very unfortunate that they will not make things right for us, especially considering the money we have spent.

Google has made things right.  You need to call the Google Store to get your Promotional code. Please contact this team at 650-426-0335.  If everything you stated previously is correct,  you shouldn't have a problem.  Good luck.

I did reach out to the offer redemption team and they said the could not help me and I ended up with the initial contract person. Google is either offering ADT equipment or not. I was told I qualified.

Hello GAH1,

I genuinely understand the inconvenience you have faced. Do you still have the redemption code that was sent to your email?

If you have the redemption code, you may call the ADT toll-free phone number: 877-464-7437. Please have your unique redemption code ready that was also included in the email. Support agents are ready to help.

If you need help with the redemption code, our friends at the Google Store should be able to help you further.

Regards,

Lance

Lance, I as many others I have read about either misplaced, deleted or never received the promo code for ADT.  If I had it I wouldn’t have needed to chat with google reps. As I stated they found my device qualified. I did reach out to your “friends” at the google store in regards to my lost, displaced promo code and they could not help me. As I have stated all was verified with my account.

Don't placate us by repeating the same instructions as already provided by other reps here. You have never responded to those form submissions before, and cannot be trusted to do so now. To make this right you owe everyone who has wasted their time on this issue a personal call with these codes and an additional $200 in cash for compensation for personal time wasted.

Is it possible to get another email with my ADT code as I can’t find it

Lance L,

Like many users, I am sure I deleted the email from April.  I did receive a code after a long chat with Google Store Help.  However, I have to voice my frustration with the way Google is handling this problem.  My system at home includes:

4 motions sensors

3 exterior door sensors

6 CO/SMOKE SENSORS

2 nest x yale locks

Since these were already paid for, and by no fault of my own, has now been rendered obsolete.  I think it would be fair for Google to provide a "replacement" system of 4 motion sensors and the 3 door sensors instead of simply offering a basic "start up".  I'm not sure if the smoke/CO sensors will continue to work (Nest App?).  This seems fair instead of asking me to incur the cost of an entirely new system.  The brand loyalty generated would be off the charts.  If not, there is no reason for me not to explore other options.

I also need help with the redemption codes. I have an email in my nest aware but the one to my gmail has disappeared? How can I get this resent? Redemption team site doesn’t seem to work proper. No code on the one in my nest aware and no gmail one found

That number clearly states that there is no support for Google nest via phone and tells you to go back to THIS site.  I’ve talked to 4 people who keep sending me back and forth and have no clue how to get me the redemption code. what a disaster!!!

I have two nest secures and 7 nest detects. I have never received an email with a code or redemption code. I am in Canada. Can someone please help me as I have seen a lot of money on these products?

Thank you,

This is all so discouraging. I’ve gone through the same motion as everyone here, I give up. Anyone know of a good attorney to start a class-action lawsuit?

File a complaint with your state attorney general and the FBI internet crime division. Google is already being sued by the FTC for anti-competitive behavior, if a large number of states also sue them for deceptive business practices it would also be appropriate to see.

These clowns have no clue how quickly they managed to convert a fairly large customer base from promoters to revenge seekers.

I find myself in an unenviable situation despite best efforts.  Prior to deciding to take the $200 Google store credit vs the ADT+ hardware, I spent QUITE some time on the phone with Google Home and ADT support staff attempting to help me make my decision.  Despite getting conflitcint information most of the times I reached out, I was ultimately told by both parties that my existing Nest Cameras and door and window sensors would work with the free ADT+ promotional hardware I could redeem with my Nest Secure Redemtion Code.  When the ADT+ hardware came, the door/window sensors were not recognized and only one camera appeared in the ADT+ app.  Turns out all my other cameras are too old to work with ADT+.  Had I known this, I would have NEVER used my code to get the ADT hardware...I would have just got the $200 Google store credit.  So now I am not being allowed to return the hardware to ADT and I am not being given the $200 Google store credit.  Because I have already used the promotion for the hardware.  So I have a bunch of useless hardware in my house.  What a mess.

The same thing happened to me. I accidentally deleted that email I would be grateful for your help. I don’t know how to get a hold of someone to send me a new copy of the email or to tell me whether I qualify thank you for your time.

The same thing happened to me. I accidentally deleted the original email I would be grateful for your help. I don’t know how to get a hold of Google to ask them whether I qualify or to ask them to send me a copy of the April 7, 2023 email with the instructions about how to redeem and use my coupon code. Thank you for your help. Please advise how to do that. Thank you.

You just have to keep at it.  Google told me to contact ADT in order for ADT to "unlock"  the code I used to get the ADT hardware.  I called ADT and they had no idea what I was talking about.  So then I went back to Google.  Told them this was a Google promotion that went awry.  So they should be able to help me out.  Wound up being told by Google to purchase non-sale items from Google store and I would be reimbursed up to $200.  Problem was....everything is on sale on the website.  So they backed off a bit and I ended up purchasing 2 Google speakers and Google reimbursed me.  So a round about way of getting the store credit.  But it ended up working out.  You just have to go through the Google help process and start talking to folks until you get to what you need.  Oftentimes the Google representative I spoke to had no idea about the Nest Promotion.  It's just a sloppy process.  You just have to keep at it.
