Moving to ADT wasn't as painful as I thought

I had the complete Nest security setup, so I was frustrated when Google decided to kill Nest Secure. I opted for the free ADT hub. When it arrived it only came with 2 window/door sensors and a motion detector. Not a bad start, but I had to buy 17 additional sensors to replace the Nest detects I had in place. That turned out not to be as expensive as I thought at $15 each.  I initially thought my Nest Yale lock was going to have to be replaced, but Google sent me a Nest connect to bridge the lock to the internet. Even though my Nest Hello, Nest Yale Lock, and Wired Nest Outdoor IQ Camera don't talk to the ADT hub or the ADT app, I was happy to discover they all still work happily with the Nest app.  So, all in all, it cost me about $250 to migrate over to ADT. And the monitoring rate negotiated by Google is reasonable.  Lemons to lemonade!
