Hello ZB12,
Thanks for posting in the Community. I’d be happy to help you with Nest Guard. Let’s check it out.
If you’re unable to disarm Nest Secure using the Guard’s keypad, you can use the Nest app or use a Nest Tag.
There are a few ways to arm and disarm Nest Secure with the Nest app. The first way is to switch security levels. This will only change the security level on Guard, and won’t affect other Nest products in your home.
Another way to use the app is to manually switch your house’s mode to Home or Away.
Also, any time Guard asks you to enter your passcode, you can use Tag instead of using Guard’s keypad or your phone.
If you have a Nest × Yale Lock, you can have it automatically set Nest Secure to Off whenever you unlock your door.
Note: Your lock and your alarm system need to be in the same home in the Nest app in order for this feature to work.
Here’s how to enable or disable this feature:
If you need a quick refresher, here’s an article about the different ways you can unlock your door: How to lock and unlock the Nest × Yale Lock.
Let me know how it goes.
All the best,
Lance

Hello ZB12, Thanks for posting in the Community. Tap the Security icon on the app home screen. Select the security level that you want. Away and Guarding arms doors, windows, and watches for motion. Home and Guarding only arms doors and windows. Off turns the alarm off. Another way to use the app is to manually switch your house’s mode to Home or Away. Tap your home’s icon on the app home screen. Select the home mode you want: Home mode sets Nest Secure to Off. Away mode sets to Away and Guarding, arming doors and windows, and watching for motion. Also, any time Guard asks you to enter your passcode, you can use Tag instead of using Guard’s keypad or your phone. Hold Tag on Guard until you hear it chime. Guard’s light ring and security level buttons will light up to let you know what’s happening. If you have a Nest × Yale Lock, you can have it automatically set Nest Secure to Off whenever you unlock your door. Note: Your lock and your alarm system need to be in the same home in the Nest app in order for this feature to work. Here’s how to enable or disable this feature: On the Nest app home screen, tap Security. Select Settings and then Alarm Options > Nest × Yale Lock. Tap the switch to turn this option on or off. If you need a quick refresher, here’s an article about the different ways you can unlock your door: How to lock and unlock the Nest × Yale Lock. Let me know how it goes. All the best, Lance
THIS IS REPLY.
I was instructed by costumer service over the phone to remove the GUARD from the app, and then reinstall it. Can't do factory reset, because guard is armed and dont have a gurad tag.

Hi ZB12,
Thanks for the follow-up information. I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for, but there isn’t another way to disarm the Nest Secure other than the methods mentioned above. Also, as a security precaution, a factory reset can’t be done if Nest Secure is armed in Home and Guarding or Away and Guarding, speaking a Heads-Up, sounding the alarm, or if the battery is critically low.
Reach out if you have other questions in the future.
Best regards,
Lance
