hi, one Nest Detect on my system went offline & does not respond. attempted to hard restart but when holding down the button there is no response. troubleshooting suggests holding the button for 10-15 seconds and waiting for a light indicator., but nothing happens with the detect. I installed it along with 2 others at the same exact time & this is the only one with issues. seems like it's dead?

Hi Brad. Not sure you are seeing the right post. My issue is not with the camera. I have a Nest Security System with two detect sensors. One of them went offine last week. I followed all the instructions in the troubleshooting steps. Nothing helped and the detect is still dead. I am wondering if you could help me more with any steps that’s not in the troubleshooting instructions. Or Warranty will cover this issue. Hope I made my case clear. I am sorry I just typed the wrong product. I am still looking into this Replacement inquiry. However, please be aware that the Nest Detect has been discontinued as of the 15th of October. Meaning that the stock may not be available. I will do my best to create a case for you, and see if we can get a replacement or not.

Support didn’t help to replace the detect due to expired warranty. The Detect broke all of a sudden without any mistake from my end. It’s unfortunate that Google decided to stop selling Nest guard within few years of releasing the product. It’s really inconvenient that they don’t sell new Detect sensor or provide a replacement even if I was ready to pay for it. Bad customer support and google is penalizing the customer for buying their Nest products. I have a bunch of Nest cameras and smart speakers at my smart home. I have made a decision to stop buying any more Nest products in the future and cancel my Nest aware subscription and probably move to Alexa based smart home products in the near future. Thanks.
