Nest connect flashing blue

My Google nest connect won’t work. I thought it was the Google door lock, which has been occasionally going off-line whenever it feels like it, and coming back on whenever it feels like it. I tried to work on that today when it was off-line, and then I reset the front door lock. But I can't connect it to the house because now the nest connect isn't working. It just keeps flashing blue. It was green earlier today. But now it's flashing blue and I can't figure out how to reset it or make it work. All other nest products are working.  I’ve tried pressing the button while it’s flashing blue.  How do I fix the nest connect?

Hi Eileenwsmith,

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Connect device is flashing blue and you're unable to connect it. Let's try these steps:

  1. Restart the Nest Connect by disconnecting the power from the Nest Connect and unplugging it from the power outlet. Wait for about 10 seconds, then plug it back in.
  2. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and other connected devices can access the internet without issues. If there are problems, the Nest Connect may not connect or stay connected.
  3. The Nest Connect may struggle with stable connection if it's far from your Wi-Fi router. Move it closer to the router to resolve the issue. Experiment with different locations to find the best signal strength once connected.
  4. Ensure your Wi-Fi network is set up correctly for 2.4 GHz networks and check the security settings, such as WPA2-PSK, to ensure the correct frequency and security.
  5. If the issue still persists, press and hold the button for 10 seconds until the front LED turns solid yellow. Release the button and wait for the device to reset, if the previous steps don't resolve the issue.

Let us know how that works.

Best,

Zoe
