I completely understand your situation. The first step I suggest trying is a reset on this sensor. You can follow the next steps.
- Remove the battery from the sensor for 5 minutes, and then put it back.
- Restart the thermostat.
- Remove the sensor from the Nest app.
- Pair again with the QR code.
