I downloaded the Nest app for the first time to use Nest Connect and the lock. However, when I try to pair the door lock with the Nest app, it fails to create a master passcode and displays a "Something Went Wrong" error message.
The only workaround Google offers me is to create another new home(aka "Home2") in the Google Home app. Then, I use the Nest app to add Nest Connect and the lock to this newly created "Home2." The pairing process works smoothly this way, and I can create a master passcode in the app.
However, if I remove the Nest Connect and lock from "Home2" and try to add them back to my original "Home," the same error message pops up again.
I have several Google smart home products—cameras, Wi-Fi, doorbell, and thermostat—all working without any issues. However, the Nest x Yale door lock taught me a tough lesson.

I have been having the same problem since December 12th. I opened a new Google home and moved everything over (thermostat, 3 outdoor cameras, 3 indoor cameras). Only the door lock is giving that same message. I have reset/cleared my nest connect at least 10 times as well as the lock. Nothing helps! I even changed the batteries on the lock, uninstalled and reinstalled nest app. If anyone has been able to solve this PLEASE HELP!
