My accounts in the past were highjacked and they began recieving services under my information and casting through my devices whille controling my every move. I have since changed my google account device number etc. my question is, how can i prevent them from taking over my device again? Do i need to go buy a whole different device or can i prevent use of my services on this account?

Hi 231320slj,
Thanks for reaching out to our community.
I understand that you are looking for maximum protection after your past accounts were compromised. I appreciate you sharing the context of your previous security breach, including unauthorized access to services and device casting. Thank you for asking about the definitive strategy to prevent this from happening again and the account-level solutions that negate the need for new hardware. It is my pleasure to respond to your inquiry.
I can confirm that there are no security concerns when a Google Nest device is in setup mode. During the setup process, and even when the device is connected to a network, Google Nest devices secures all Wi-Fi credentials in a secure place on the device. These credentials are in a scrambled format, adding another level of security.
Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Virna

For maximum security you need to make sure you're securing your all your iot devices if you don't secure those they can have bugs in the firmware that can be compromised and your network can be taken over from that best practices to have it on a VLAN and not able to talk to the internet the only thing they need to get from where updates if they're push tool that includes all light bulbs stoves refrigerators mops toothbrushes and hair bows. If you've gotten hit with an attack like that before it's a possibility they'll come back especially if you have insulted culpitsar if their local or where they came from I was attacked before and buy a PT style attack and they had me from every which direction so I understand what you're going through if you need any other help feel free to reach out I can provide security services for you to make sure that you're completely secure and can even monitor you for a few weeks just to make sure there's no indicator to compromise still lurking around no charge of course you don't need an extra snag

I am unable to use face match on my Android device and my Google account is showing 4 devices total, all the same kind as my phone. I do not have a Google nest but have had electronics compromised in the past and added to someone else's nest and home app without my consent and was unable to remove my Google account/devices from that nest/home app and also had phone numbers ported out, I also noticed that settings in my assistant keep toggling on w/o my consent and I have to keep manually changing these settings, have also been dealing with harassment and stalking issues for 3 yrs now which has ruined everything in my life, what can I do if anything at all?

first enable airplane mode that should break all data connections and protect your network if its not to late. next use a trusted device log on to google. You can sign out of all Google services by managing devices in your Google Account security settings or by changing your password. make sure to sign out of all and change your password also add 2fa . delete all back up codes and generate new ones. store them on paper untill your network is declared clean.d o not log back into that phone turn it off. Yes the phone can be tested and exploits removed. you need your pcs and network devices scanned at the least. I know of a start up that could help you remotely flat rate if he charges you at all. also use number lock and or sim lock to protect against sim swap/port. huntress offers 24/7 monitoring, its not expensive and would offer peace of mind. keep bluetooth off when not in use.
