Will Nest X Yale Lock be able to disarm ADT?

One of the best/primary features of the Nest X Yale lock for me is the integration with Nest Secure.  When you unlock the Nest X Yale, it can be set to turn off your Nest Guard.

Now that Secure is being EOL, I doubt that the Nest X Yale lock will do the same with the ADT system.

I think we should get credit for our Nest X Yale locks to get a new lock compatible with ADT.

This is very disappointing. However, I'm gonna try to hack this with the Google Home Script Editor.  I'm creating this routine for my front and back doors. Maybe it'll work, maybe not.  Feel free to play with it yourself and see what you come up with.  If it works, I'll work on a corresponding one that uses Presence Detection to Arm the alarm if no one else is home and someone locks a door or leaves with a `Hey Google Goodbye` trigger:

# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ #
# Lines starting with “#” are comments and will be ignored by the automation.
# Indentation determines hierarchy within the script.
# Visit g.co/home/script-editor-docs for full documentation.
# ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ #

metadata:
name: Front or Back Door Disarm Alarm # Choose a short name that summarizes important starters and actions, like “Sunset lights”.
description: Given Front Door is Locked or Back Door is Locked and the Alarm is Set, Then disable the Alarm when Front Door or Back Door is Unlocked # Write a detailed description that includes everything the automation does, like “At sunset, on weekdays, close blinds, turn on lights to 50%, and play the sunset playlist on certain speakers.”

automations:
  # “starters” and “actions” are required; “conditions” are optional.
  # Use Ctrl + Space to see autocomplete suggestions.

  # ---- STARTERS ---- #
  # Starters describe events that will start the automation.
  # To add more than one starter, duplicate the "- type" section under "starters".
  # If you add multiple starter events, any one of them happening will start the automation
  starters:
    - type: device.state.LockUnlock
      state: isLocked
      is: false
      device: [Front Door]
    - type: device.state.LockUnlock
      state: isLocked
      is: false
      device: [Back Door]

  # ---- CONDITIONS ---- #
  # Conditions are optional. Delete this section if it’s empty.
  # Conditions will prevent an automation from starting if the conditions aren’t met.
  # See g.co/home/script-editor-docs for documentation about how to use logical operators like “and”, “or”, and “not”.
  condition:
type: device.state.ArmDisarm # This function supports arming and disarming as used in, for example, security systems.
    state: isArmed
    is: true
    device: [ADT+ Hub Name]

  # ---- ACTIONS ---- #
  # Actions will start when a starter event takes place and all conditions are met.
  # Actions will start in the order they appear in the script and with any delay specified.
  # To add more than one action, duplicate the "- type" section under "actions".
  actions:
    - type: device.command.ArmDisarm # Set the alarm level of the device.
      # [Available parameter options: arm, cancel, armLevel]
      arm: false
      cancel: true
      devices: [ADT+ Hub Name]

You'll just need to replace anything in [] with your actual device names in Google Home.

I do want to state... WE SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO GO THIS ROUTE FOR DEVICES THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE INTEGRATED!!!

Hi folks,

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the delay. While we don't have the specifics, our friends at the ADT support team are the best team to help you find out the compatibility of their device with Nest devices.

Regards,

Juni

Which Nest products will continue to work if we don't switch to ADT?

Everything continues to work without ADT except the alarm system (base and sensors). But support for the co/smoke and locks with other systems is non existent. Google really screwed us on this.

ADT support for Google + ADT knows absolutely nothing about this system. Maybe before you shoe people over to ADT, Google can take some responsibility and make sure they are educated on the product.

They told me at least 5 times on 5 different phone calls (I kept calling because what I was reading online conflicted with what they were telling me) that ALL my nest equipment would work flawlessly. Turns out, the internet was right, and ADT knows nothing about what they're pushing on us, and Google doesn't give a crap.

Google washes its hands of the situation that it created.

I’m thinking we’re gonna get screwed on the locks, and I have 3 CO2 / smoke alarms and of course we already know getting screwed on the alarm, including the 8 door/window monitors
