I think you have installed backwards

How do I fix that?

No something I can type without seeing the lock mechanism.

what you described is the opposite action is occurring if I understood correct. So putting in the code should rotate mechanism to pull back dead bolt. The Yale logo rotates to lock. So you need to put the mechanism in the door to rotate correctly

Hi AmericanIMG,

Thanks for posting in our Community. I’m sorry for the delayed response here and to hear that you’re having issues with the Nest x Yale lock. No worries; I’m here to help. Let’s check it out.

To fix the lock mechanism issue, you’ll need to factory reset the lock, remove it from the Nest app, and add it back to the account. Follow the steps below:

  1. Factory reset the Nest × Yale Lock.
  2. To remove the lock from your account, on the Nest app home screen, select your lock > tap Settings  > Remove lock.
  3. Connect your lock to the Nest app.

Let me know how it goes.

I appreciate your help, aliasrocks.

Best,

Lance
